Accomplishments & Recognitions

The fall 2007 freshman class is the largest freshman class in the University’s history. The entering class’ profile matches the highest academic profiles among previous entering classes in University history.

Nearly 90 percent of all full-time faculty hold a Ph.D. or highest degree offered in their field.

Harvard Business Review has recognized the University as one of four business schools in the nation that had retained its professional focus and is an example of best practices.

UD has maintained a campus in Rome, Italy, for more than 35 years where nearly 80 percent of undergraduate students attend for a semester and adults attend during the summer with School of Ministry programs.

Only Ph.D. program in the United States with a core curriculum in the great books.

MBA program is the largest in the southwestern United States in the number of students enrolled.

School of Ministry is the fastest growing graduate school in its field in the United States.

The Catholic Biblical School in the School of Ministry is the largest program of its kind among all Catholic universities in the United States based on 2007 enrollment numbers and offers studies online and face to face in English and in Spanish.

Approximately 80 percent of undergraduate alumni attend graduate school and earn an advanced degree. More than 80 percent of pre-med graduates are admitted to medical school and more than 90 percent of pre-law graduates are accepted by their first-choice professional school.

The only Catholic university in the Diocese of Dallas.

About the Irving Campus

The University's 225-acre landscaped campus in Irving, Texas, includes Haggerty Art Village, a five-building complex with studios, galleries, and classrooms; 500-seat Church of the Incarnation; athletic fields and facilities; Haggar University Center; 80-seat Jonsson Theater; eight residence halls plus on-campus apartments; classroom buildings; library.

About the Eugene Constantin Campus

The University's 12-acre Eugene Constantin Campus in Marino, Italy, includes classrooms, large lecture hall, library, residence hall, staff and professorial housing, dining hall, chapel, outdoor theater, athletic facilities, swimming pool, outdoor cooking and dining facilities, vineyards and olive groves.

About the Frisco Campus

The University’s satellite campus in Frisco, Texas, is a state-of-the art 14,500 square-foot facility located in a convenient business park and features high-tech classrooms, break out rooms for small-group meetings, a large meeting room, a kitchen and administrative offices. The facilities are also available for rent to area businesses seeking meeting room space.

About the Tarrant County Campus

The University’s satellite campus in North Richland Hills, Texas, occupies 3,800 square-feet of a centrally-located building in Tarrant County and features classrooms specifically designed to take advantage of state-of-the art technology, study area, offices and lounge areas.

About Student Life

The University offers more than 40 clubs and organizations; varsity, club and intramural sports; lectures, films, exhibitions, concerts, plays; campus-wide annual celebrations; 13 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
