  • 22 National Merit Scholars are expected to enroll in the 2011 freshman class. In fall 2011, UD will have 60 National Merit Scholars enrolled in the Constantin College of Liberal Arts.

  • UD was named one of the Best 376 Colleges in the 2012 Princeton Review guidebook. UD was also among 121 colleges and universities included in the Best of the West list this year and included in the list of Best Schools for Biology Majors. The University was also voted the #6 school in the Most Religious Students category and the #8 school for the Most Popular Study Abroad Program.

  • The University was named as a Best Buy in the 2012 edition of the Fiske Guide to Colleges. As one of 49 public and private colleges and universities included on the list, the University of Dallas joins a small group of schools with this recognition.

  • The University of Dallas was named one of America’s Best Colleges in the annual rankings of public and private colleges by Forbes magazine. UD was honored with the #103 spot on the list of 650 schools and ranked second among the 29 Texas schools included in the rankings. Additionally, UD was ranked #22 in the south and #91 in the private colleges category.

  • 36 students have been named Fulbright scholars over our 55-year history.

  • The 2010 freshman class included 376 first-time students, making this the largest freshman class in UD history. Undergraduate enrollment has grown for 3 consecutive years.

  • The University is ranked 2nd out of 32 Texas colleges and universities (15th out of 115 schools in the Western region) of its size in the 2011 America’s Best College rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

  • 47 students were inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest and most respected undergraduate honors organization in the United States, in May 2010. UD is the only Catholic university in Texas with a Phi Beta Kappa chapter and the youngest university in the 20th century to be granted a chapter.

  • The undergraduate Rome Program celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2010. All undergraduate students have the opportunity to study for one semester on the UD Rome Campus where they also attend Mass at the Vatican.

  • The University of Dallas received an “A” in the second-annual “What Will They Learn” college ratings announced by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni.

  • The University’s studio arts program was named one of the top programs in the nation by Parade magazine.

  • The Catholic Biblical School in the School of Ministry is the largest program of its kind among all Catholic universities in the United States and offers studies online and face-to-face in English and Spanish.

  • UD's Graduate School of Management is widely recognized for having one of the most popular MBA programs in the Southwest.

  • UD's cybersecurity program is 1 of 7 university programs worldwide, and is the only school in Texas, designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education that maps to all six Committee on National Security Systems standards.  UD has been a Center of Academic Excellence since 2003 as designated by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.

  • A team of College of Business students won the inaugural 2010 DFW Association for Corporate Growth Cup, edging out teams from other local business schools.

  • UD has awarded more than $40,000 over the past 3 years to students and alumni in our annual Business Plan Competition.

  • 85% of pre-med and 90% of pre-law graduates are accepted into professional schools.
