The English and Philosophy Departments and the Deans of Constantin and Braniff presents: Stanley Stewart, distinguished professor of English at the University of California, Riverside to give a public lecture on a chapter from his ninth book, Shakespeare and Philosophy (Routledge 2010) followed by responses from our own John Alvis and Brett Bourbon. Stewart is an alumnus of UCLA, an award-winning teacher, a Guggenheim and a Mellon Fellow, an accomplished scholar of the English Renaissance, former president of The Association of Scholars and Critics, and Editor of The Ben Jonson Journal.
