Vice President for Advancement Amanda L. Rainey

Amanda L. Rainey was appointed vice president for advancement in June 2010. Rainey came to the UD from Saint Louis University where she was most recently the executive director of development.

Rainey brings more than nine years of experience in higher education to her position at the University of Dallas. As executive director of development at Saint Louis University, she managed a portfolio of major gift prospects, oversaw coordination of donor cultivation and stewardship activities, and played a key role in the strategic development for gift prospects. During her tenure at Saint Louis University she also served as the assistant director of alumni relations.

Throughout her work in the advancement division at Saint Louis University, Rainey played a pivotal role in the completion of two $80+ million capitol campaigns. She also revitalized fundraising efforts for the recognition giving program, increasing direct mail donations by 136 percent over three years.

Rainey holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University and a master’s degree in higher education from Indiana University.
