The QUAD Program
The Qualified University Applicant Directory (QUAD) Program is geared towards preparing
our students (graduate and undergraduate) for interviews with our Corporate Partners.
QUAD candidates will be the pool from which we draw when Corporate Partners request
University of Dallas students/alums for job openings/internships within their
companies. Our goal is to help you make the best impression possible on our Corporate
Partners to ensure your success in interviewing and the job hunt.
Because the QUAD program will represent the best UD has to offer, a QUAD candidate
is someone who has shown initiative by completing the qualifying steps (QUAD
Qualifiers).
***Your QUAD application is valid for one year only; after one year, you will need
to reapply and verify with the Career Coach that all of your information is still
current.****
QUAD Qualifiers
- The QUAD Application
*To become a QUAD candidate, please complete the application form.
- Faculty Endorsement
*Faculty recommendations should show that a candidate is considered well-qualified,
professional and a good reflection of the University of Dallas. All QUAD candidates
are required to submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member who has
taught them in a course for at least one term. Faculty may submit this in hard
copy to the Career Services Office in Carpenter Hall or via email to quad@udallas.edu;
additional information may be submitted online.
- Coaching Services
All QUAD candidates must meet with our Career Coach, Meghan DiMauro, to accomplish
the following qualifiers:
*Mock Interview and feedback
*Resume assistance/revision
*Cover letter preparation/revision
**Because this may take several visits with Meghan, please be sure to let her know
that you are a QUAD candidate each time. This will ensure that as you have completed
a qualifier, you receive "credit" for it.
**To schedule an appointment with Meghan, please call 972.721.5131.
- Presentation Improvement
All QUAD candidates will be evaluated on their presentation while meeting with the
Career Coach. During your meetings with the Career Coach, we may refer you to
some additional professional development activities prior to sending you on interviews.
This may include such things as presentation skills and English enhancement or
any other area that may need to be polished prior to an interview.
- Online Research
*Once you receive a call/email from us informing you of a potential interview, you
must research the company and prepare questions. Our Career Coach is also available
to help you with questions if you need assistance.
After you have completed all of the Qualifiers, you will be eligible to be sent on
interviews as requested by our Corporate Partners. We will do our best to match
your requests to those of our potential employers. Once you have completed an
interview, we ask that you fill out an evaluation form so that we may continue to improve our efforts.
