The University of Dallas, as a private university, has tuition expenses that would prevent all but those rare, practically non-existent, wealthy graduate students from attending it. Therefore, to bring our costs into the range of public universities, we try to offer as many partial tuition scholarships as we can. In order to be considered for this form of financial aid, the University asks that applicants complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which can be found at
www.fafsa.gov. This can be done after a student has applied and been accepted into one of the Braniff degree programs.
In addition to our partial tuition scholarships, students who are enrolled in a Master’s program that has a foreign language requirement will receive a full tuition scholarship for nine hours of elementary and intermediate language courses. We do this in order to help students attain the level of competence that will enable them to meet the graduate requirement. We do it also in the hope that they will continue their language study and use reading courses in the language to understand texts in a way that is not possible in translation.
