University of Dallas students have an opportunity to experience Europe by spending a semester at the University's campus in Rome, Italy. The Rome semester provides a unique opportunity to expand one's understanding of culture and commerce in a dynamic international environment. Participation in the Rome program is competitive. University of Dallas students have the opportunity to participate in a Spanish language emersion program in Mexico. Each summer a faculty member of the Modern Languages department sponsors a six to ten week language study trip. In past semesters, the students have traveled to Puebla, Mexico or Avila, Spain. Students may also have an opportunity to study business Spanish. The language study may be applied to the language requirement in the University core curriculum.
