Traditional Aztec Performance by the dance group Mitotiliztli Yaoyollohtli
Mexican Mitote, which in the Aztec language Nahuatl means Aztec Party, is an interactive presentation that offers tribal dancing, drumming and a brief look at the Mexihca-Nahuatl philosophy. The audience will learn some of the cosmological associations of the dances, steps and songs. The audience will also learn a friendship dance and a brief history of the dance regalia and the musical instruments. We will provide Aguas Frescas or Horcha and chocolate, which was first cultivated by the Aztecs. The performance will include dance, music (drumming), and information about Aztec customs.

Each year the University of Dallas sponsors a celebration of the many cultures represented by the students who attend this university. This year the 2012 International Festival will take place March 14-17.
Students will man exhibits to showcase their country - the beauty, the customs, the costumes, the sounds, etc. Some students will sell native crafts or small gift items from their country. Others will be selling samples of the wonderful foods from their countries.

GSM students, faculty, and staff are invited to sample a variety of wines from around the world as well as a selection of international cheeses to taste, paired with other light snacks. The wine tasting will include a description and history of the wines from each country.
