Graduate Business Program Notes Growth in Information Webinars
The College of Business (COB) graduate program has seen an increase in the number of information webinars being offered now since they were first offered a year ago. These online information sessions provide a way for prospective students to learn more about the COB’s graduate school, its programs, and the admissions process.

The COB began offering webinars about a year ago as an alternative to on campus information sessions, says Mary Parker, senior assistant dean of enrollment management in the College of Business. She adds that the COB is finding more students are discovering information on the internet as opposed to having in person meetings. "In the past, we did about 25 sessions on campus a year and now we only do three per year but have information webinars at least once a month."

All prospective students are invited to attend the online information sessions, and the College of Business has seen an average of about 15-20 people per session. "The benefit is that they are low cost and easy to quickly add to the schedule if we see a particular need or influx of prospects."

"Prospects like them because they can fit it into their work or personal schedule more easily."

According to Dr. Brian Murray, associate professor and dean of the College of Business, "Webinar information sessions are just one more example of our 45 years of innovation in making MBA education more accessible to working adults."

New Scholarship Announced
University of Dallas College of Business is offering a $2,500 scholarship to an Ursuline Academy of Dallas alumna for the Fall 2011 semester. The student must be accepted into a graduate program at the University of Dallas College of Business to be eligible to apply.
