Graduate Certificates are designed for experienced professionals who want to increase their business knowledge in a specific area without completing an graduate degree. Whether you are making a career change or need more skills to help prepare your for the next step in your career, Graduate Certificates can give you the edge you need.

And, if you decide to pursue your graduate business degree at University of Dallas, your Graduate Certificate courses may apply toward your degree.

Depending on your academic background, you may be required to complete Foundational Knowledge Courses prior to beginning your program. Your advisor can give you more information on your program requirements based on your academic background.

All Foundation and many elective courses are offered in both onground or online formats, with many offered in a hybrid (blended) format, giving you the option to combine course formats based on your personal preference or travel/work schedules. Onground courses are offered weeknights and/or weekends giving students the opportunity to schedule classes around their busy lives. With online courses, you never have to step in the classroom so you can complete your program from anywhere in the world.

The Graduate School of Management uses a trimester system, with fall, spring and summer terms. With year-round classes and multiple starting points each term, students can choose from 12 week, 6 week, intensives or intermester classes.

Admissions Requirements

To be eligible for consideration of graduate admissions:

1. You should have earned a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited college or university (or a comparable foreign degree) with a minimum GPA of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale.

2. You should have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale in any graduate credit hours you have earned (if any).

3. You should be in good academic and financial standing with all colleges and universities you have attended.

If you meet the eligibility requirements above, admission to the Graduate Certificate program is based on an evaluation of your personal and academic background. To earn admission to this program, you must meet at least two of the five criteria listed below:

Do you have a U.S. master’s degree from a regionally-accredited college or university?
Do you have a 3.00+ (on 4.00 scale) GPA in the last 60 credit hours of your undergraduate degree program?
Do you have a 500+ GMAT score or equivalent GRE score? (GMAT/GRE is optional and not required for admission)
If you have completed graduate coursework but not been awarded a masters degree, do you have a 3.20+ (on 4.00 scale) GPA in any graduate coursework you have completed?
Do you have four or more years of managerial, professional or executive experience?

If you meet only one criteria or have questions regarding whether or not you meet two criteria, or if you are reapplying for admission, please contact an advisor to discuss your options.

In addition to the online application, you will need to provide:

Official transcripts/individual mark sheets from all colleges/universities attended
Current resume or C.V.
Copy of diploma/graduation certificate for any degree earned abroad
GMAT or GRE official scores (optional)

Additional requirements for Non-US Citizens:

Valid official TOEFL (80 IBT minimum ) or IELTS (6.0 minimum) score (contact an advisor to see if you qualify for an exemption)
Diploma Supplement (Bologna-compliant degree holders only)

Proof of non-immigrant status - I-94 (if currently residing in U.S.)
Confirmation of Financial Resources Form (F1 Visa holders only)
Bank statement (F1 Visa holders only)

Copy of the front of Permanent Resident Card (if applicable or, if you have filed the I-485 for a green card, provide a copy of the USCIS Receipt Notice)

Application Deadlines:

The University of Dallas uses a rolling admission process (applications are reviewed for admission once all required documents have been submitted). Recommended application deadlines are:

U.S. Applicants
A minimum of two weeks prior to the term start date.

International Applicants (Visa holders or Permanent Residents with international degrees)
A minimum of two months prior to the term start date (F-1 Visa holders must start at the beginning of the term).
