Meet the Directors of the UD Rome Campus
.jpg) Dr. Peter Hatlie, Dean & Director of the Rome Campus
Dean and Director of the Rome Campus, Dr. Peter Hatlie, was born and raised in Minnesota. He holds a B.A. in Classics from St. Olaf College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Medieval and Byzantine History from Fordham University. He came to UD Rome in 1999 after holding positions in the U.S., Bulgaria, Turkey and the Netherlands. He was the acting Academic Director of the Rome Program in 2003, the Academic Director of the Rome Program from Fall of 2005 to Spring 2008, and is now the Dean and Director of the Rome Campus.  Mr. Ryan Reedy, Vice-Director of the Rome Campus
Ryan Reedy graduated from the University of Dallas in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in History and recently completed a master's degree in Humanities from the same institution. In 2003 Ryan attended the University of Dallas Rome Program for his semester abroad. In 2007 he returned to Rome as Rome Assistant, serving for three semesters in this position. In August 2008, he moved back to the United States, marrying Ellen Reedy and working as Head Coach of the University of Dallas Women’s Soccer team.  Mrs. Rebecca Davies, Director of the Rome Office on the Irving Campus
Mrs. Rebecca Davies, Director of the Rome Office in Irving, was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Rochester, an M. Ed. from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and she has worked as a teacher and administrator in Rochester, Buffalo and Dallas. She lived on the University of Dallas Rome campus from 1994-1996 while her husband, Dr. David Davies, served on the Rome faculty. She has worked in the Rome Office in Irving since 1997, serving as Director since 2001. She also teaches piano privately. Mrs. Davies can be reached at bdavies@udallas.edu. |
