The Art Department Award
"Art is born of the observation and investigation of nature" -Cicero
- Amount: $1,000-$3,000
- Eligibility: High School Seniors who have submitted an application for admission by the January 15th, Priority Scholarship Deadline.
Deadline: February 15, 2008
To Apply:
- Submit a portfolio of 6-10 slides (no original artwork, please) to the Office of Admission & Financial Aid.
- While it is not required for this award, applicants wishing to meet with a member of the Art faculty should arrange an interview by signing up to visit the University.
- Complete the Special Award Program Application and submit it prior to your campus visit and interview. Please be sure to mark the envelope or fax “Special Award Program Application."
Renewability Criteria:
This scholarship is renewable annually for four consecutive school years, dependent upon your academic performance and the criteria stated below.
Maintain full-time academic status each semester by earning at least twelve UD credit hours per fall and spring semester and earning at least twenty-seven UD credit hours per annual review period.
Demonstrate a cumulative UD G.P.A. (grade point average) of at least 3.000 on the annual review date. Enroll in Art Gallery Practicum, or any other studio or art history course each semester.
