What We Look For

The Admission Committee has no equation or magic combination of grade point average and standardized test scores that ensure your admission to the university. The committee reviews each applicant's qualifications individually, examining a variety of characteristics that indicate academic background and potential for success. Because each application is considered on an individual basis, we encourage you to submit any additional information you think may be helpful to the Admission Committee. The application process provides you with the opportunity to express your special qualities and to demonstrate your sincere desire to become a member of our UD family.

The evaluation of your credentials will focus on your:

  • Academic Record
  • Standardized Tests
  • Letters of Recommendation
  • Extracurricular Interests
  • Interviews
  • The Application Essay
  • A5.73
