Home School Student Admissions

Home schooled students are among the best and brightest members of the UD community. The University of Dallas is a perfect place for home schooled students to continue their education as students here seamlessly blend their academic, spiritual and social life. At UD, the application process is specifically tailored to the unique characteristics of home education.

As a selective institution, the University of Dallas Admission Committee reviews each candidate individually, evaluating the potential for success at UD in light of previous academic performance, candid recommendations, standardized testing and personal qualities. The Application Process:

• Home Schooled Freshman candidates must submit:
  
  • the application and $40 fee (or an official fee waiver)
    
  • the required application essay
    
  • an academic letter of recommendation from an instructor
  • an official high school transcript from a recognized, accredited consortium or association; or a comprehensive syllabi (including a list of books used, laboratory work done, and a narrative description or experiential learning) is required.   • official results of the SAT I or the ACT
  
  
• The Common Application Homeschool Supplement to the Secondary School Report offers the primary educator the opportunity to submit additional information and an educational philosophy to the Admission Committee. Click here for the Homeschool Supplement to the Secondary School Report.

Academic Awards/Financial Aid:
