International Student Admissions
As a selective institution, UD seeks students who have pursued a challenging balance between academic and extracurricular activities. The Admission Committee reviews each candidate individually, evaluating the potential for success at UD in light of previous academic performance, candid recommendations, standardized testing and personal qualities. Please submit official documents that reflect your most current grades, scores and activities.
The Application Process:
- International candidates must submit:
- the application and U.S. $40.00 fee
- the required application essay
- the academic letter of recommendation completed by an instructor
- official transcripts (with certified English translations), showing all secondary and post-secondary courses and grades
- national examination results and/or official notification of successful school completion
- official results of the TOEFL, IELTS, SAT I or ACT
- the University of Dallas Educational History form
- the Confirmation of Financial Resources Form, certified by a bank official (not required for lawful permanent residents, or those of H-4, E-2, G-2, L-2 status)
- a copy of your passport (if available)
Note:
Unofficial transcripts and score reports will not be viewed by the Admission Committee.
I-20s and Student Visas:
An "I-20" Form is a document issued by the university that allows a non-immigrant international student to apply for an F-1 student visa. In order to receive an I-20, all international applicants must submit a Confirmation of Financial Resources Form.
If the applicant is accepted to the university, the student will receive a completed I-20 form, which will allow him or her to apply for a student visa.
Note for Resident Aliens:
Resident aliens (holders of "green cards") are not required to submit a Confirmation of Financial Resources.
