Transfer Student Admissions

As a selective institution, UD seeks students who have pursued a challenging balance between academic and extracurricular activities. The Admission Committee reviews each candidate individually, evaluating the potential for success at UD in light of previous academic performance, with a minimum college GPA of 2.50, candid recommendations, standardized testing and personal qualities. Be sure to submit official documents that reflect your most current grades, scores and activities.

The Application Process:

  • Transfer candidates must submit:
    • the application and $40.00 fee
    • the required application essay
    • the academic letter of recommendation completed by an instructor
    • official transcripts from all colleges attended, whether or not credit was earned
    • an official high school transcript showing final class rank and SAT I or ACT results (may be waived for students with more than 30 transferable credit hours)

Academic Advising

In order to make your transition to UD more seamless, the Academic Deans' Office will evaluate your transcript and create a personal degree plan for you if you are admitted to the University of Dallas. In the meantime you may refer to the Transfer Guide to see the types of classes that are most likely to transfer and fulfill the core curriculum requirements.
