David Dozier, class of 1960, completed his 20th Boston Marathon on April 21. In all, he has completed 139 marathons including eight ultramarathons of 50 miles. He lives in Dallas with his wife, Dianne, ’61. He and his four children operate The Dozier Company, a public relations and advertising firm.
Jay Howard '05, Portfolio Manager, and Chief Investment Officer of hedge fund Leonard Asset Management has been elected to serve on the 2008 Board of Directors for the Hedge Fund Association. HFA is an international not-for-profit association of hedge fund managers, investors, and service providers formed to unite the hedge fund industry and to increase awareness of the advantages and opportunities in hedge funds. Jay is an honors graduate of the Graduate School of Management.
Warren Henry '84 now is serving as vice president of investor relations for Continental Resources, a crude-oil concentrated, independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company with operations in the Rocky Mountain, Mid-Continent, and Gulf Coast regions of the US. "Continental has grown dramatically in the past several years. Joel Chusid '90 has been appointed North American general manager of Hainan Airlines. Chusid and Seattle Branch Manager Xinyu (Frank) Fang are responsible for establishing the airline's presence in Seattle, launching its new nonstop service between Seattle and Beijing and introducing the Hainan Airlines brand to North American travelers. Chusid is chairman of the Association of Travel Marketing Executives. Hainan Airlines will launch its first service to North America with new nonstop flights from Seattle to Beijing beginning on June 9, 2008, the only airline offering nonstop service between Seattle and mainland China.
Dr. Mona Choucair '91, a lecturer in English at Baylor University, has been selected by this year's senior class as the 2008 Collins Outstanding Professor,an annual award provided by the Carr P. Collins Foundation that recognizes and honors extraordinary teachers at Baylor. Dr. Choucair will deliver a special lecture later this semester on a subject of her choice which will be published and made available to the university community. Her teaching interests are in American literature with an emphasis on contemporary women writers, and she currently is working on a guidebook for educators on teaching Toni Morrison's novels at the secondary school level.

Jean McSpadden, MBA ’91, has been named Vice President of Administrative Services by Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) in Athens, Texas. McSpadden is the dean of fiscal services, a newly-created position within TVCC. She is responsible for the oversight of the business aspects of the college and oversees the informational technology department and the bookstore. She has worked at TVCC since 2005. McSpadden is a certified personal accountant.

Ellen Barker MBA '94 has been promoted to Vice President and Controller of High Performance Analog by Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN). Barker is responsible for managing the finance and operations for the High Performance Analog business unit, including operations management, profit and loss, capital, overhead accountability, and senior level management and customer interface. Railinc has announced the appointment of Karen H. Folino as Assistant Vice President, Industry Support Services. Folino earned an MBA from the Graduate School of Management in 1985. Limestone Assistant Professor of Business Administration Gabe Stoeppler ’79 delivered the commencement address to approximately 350 graduates who joined the ranks of Limestone alumni. Stoeppler, chair of the Department of Business, Economics, and International Studies, holds a Bachelor of Arts from the City University of New York, an MBA from the University of Dallas and a Master of Professional Accountancy from Clemson University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has been a faculty member at Limestone since 1992.
