The UD women’s soccer team traveled to Conway, AR this Halloween weekend for a matchup with the Hendrix Warriors. Unfortunately, the Lady Crusaders could not get there offense going, recording just three shots, and only two on goal as they dropped a close match 3-0. UD was led by the efforts of senior goalkeeper Jennifer Boryca (Piqua, OH/Piqua H.S.) who recorded five saves on the afternoon. The UD shots on goal came from senior forward/defender Lindsay Arend (Napa, CA/Trinity Grammar & Prep) and freshman forward Summer Northern (Castle Rock, CO/Douglas County H.S.) but they were unable to get one past the Hendrix keeper. Freshman midfielder Marie Meagher (Grand Forks, ND/Red River H.S.) also contributed a shot.

The loss drops the Lady Crusaders to 5-13 on the season. They will continue their campaign this coming Friday, November 6, when they travel to Birmingham, AL, for a night game with Birmingham Southern College.
