|Welcome to the University of Dallas College of Business!
We are entering our 45th year of providing practical, experience-based business education. Our mission is "to prepare our students to become competent and responsible managers who are also principled and moral leaders." We practice this mission by embracing the educational philosophy that "experience matters" on a school-wide level—including all students, faculty, staff and our 14,000+ alumni holding professional and leadership positions throughout the world.
Our undergraduate curriculum blends practical experience, including a requirement that students demonstrate at least 400 hours of successful work experience, with a rigorous academic curriculum integrating liberal arts core texts with leadership, ethics, and business classes. Graduates from the College of Business have careers in some of the most well-recognized firms in the world.
Our graduate curriculum serves as the exemplar for experience-based education tuned to industry needs. A hallmark of the MBA program is the culminating Capstone experience in which MBA students work in the field with a client to address a strategic or operational issue in their company, entrepreneurial venture, or not-for-profit organization. Our Capstone teams complete over seventy-five successful projects each year, and have completed over three thousand in the first half-century of the Graduate School of Management. The Capstone project is the perfect opportunity for our students to begin putting their education into action—before they even graduate from the University of Dallas!
As we continue in our fifth decade, we renew our commitment to providing practice-based management and leadership education. I would like to cordially invite all of you who are interested in enriching your careers through a practical and rigorous business education to explore our school further either online or through a visit to campus.Robert F.
