Course Formats

  • Traditional Face to Face: These classes are offered in the evening during the week or on Saturdays to fit the working professional student’s needs. Weeknight classes meet once a week for three hours. Saturday classes meet seven hours bi-weekly, with an hour break for lunch. These classes have 36 hours of in-class learning.

  • Saturday Accelerated Review: The accelerated program allows students to quickly learn the HR body of knowledge and sit for their exam. This class is great for individuals who have a good working knowledge of HR and are established in HR field. Students should know the basics of HR terms and concepts. This class is a fast paced review of the body of knowledge. Your instructor has both the SPHR and GPHR and can guide you through difficult concepts. Students will meet six Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. This class has 36 hours of in-class learning.
  • Online: The online class utilizes asynchronous learning which allows students the freedom to participate online when it is most convenient for their schedule. This 13-week course requires students to engage and contribute weekly in the online classroom discussion boards, complete homework assignments, and quizzes by assigned deadlines. Our instructor holds weekly scheduled real-time chat sessions so students can interact directly with her and get answers to questions immediately. This class is best for professionals who have a demanding schedule and would find it difficult to attend a class at a regularly set time. The online course assumes students will spend at least 3-hours weekly working in the online classroom. 

  • Hybrid: This course blends online learning with traditional classroom learning. Students are required to complete weekly online assignments which include: posting responses to a threaded discussion board, weekly quizzes, and actively chat/post on the threaded discussion board with other students and the instructor. This course also has two mandatory in class Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This class has 12 hours of in-class learning (2 Saturdays) and at least 3-hours weekly online classroom work. Face-to-Face & Saturday Accelerated Review: $1350 (includes all course materials) 

Online & Hybrid: $1450 (includes all course materials) 


Discounts: There is a $68 discount for UD Alumni and Students, US Veterans, Government Employees, Educators, and SHRM or Dallas HR members. To qualify for the discount, students will be asked to provide an active .edu or .gov email; UD ID; or membership number.

Materials can only be shipped to you via FedEx once payment has been received. 

Payment Arrangement

We have a payment arrangement option available to students. This allows tuition to be broken down into multiple payments. Executive Education students who wish to participate will fill out an online form to enroll in this option. To be sent this form contact Jennifer Howard at

The payment arrangement splits tuition as follows:

  • Payment 1: $500
  • Payment 2: $500
  • Payment 3: $350 (face-to-face class) or $450 (hybrid or online class) 

If a discount applies to you it will be deducted as part of the final payment.

Course Material

  1. Our class uses the Complete HRCP Program: Print Edition (2017). The HRCP Program features six units, one covering each functional area of the exam. Each unit is bound separately and includes an index and a list of key terms. Along with more than seven-hundred pages of instruction, the program provides an online study guide, two sets of online review questions for each unit, and two online comprehensives, one-hundred question practice exams. The program also includes the HR Quick Study Flash Cards. Those preparing for the exams can quiz themselves and review key human resource terms and concepts with more than six-hundred convenient, business card-sized flash cards.
  1. HRCI’s The Official PHR and SPHR Certification Guide as a secondary resource guide. Students will also receive a variety of handouts, which will include a detailed syllabus/study guide from our instructors to supplement learning and keep students on track.
  1. Parking passes are provided for this class if class meets onsite at our Irving Campus.
