Health Profession Advisor
I have interests in the genetics of certain fungi, especially in the genes concerning
the determination of the mating type. Also of interest are loci concerned with vegetative
incompatibility and their spread in fungal populations. I have attempted to design
certain fungal strains for use in the undergraduate genetics laboratory.
Much of my time is spent on advising our students interested in pursuing post-graduate
work in the health professions and the biological sciences. I am also the advisor
for the Pre-Health Professions Society.
