Overnight Vists
What should I bring?
Overnight visits are only during the academic year (September-April) and are open
only to high school seniors.
Pack a sleeping bag, pillow, towel, personal items, a couple changes of clothes,
and anything you would normally need for an overnight stay.
Overnight visitors should be prepared to sleep on the floor of their host's bedroom
and to share communal bathrooms.
Note: Hosts may have obligations including a class, studying, club meetings, and even work
study positions on campus while hosting a prospective student. It is suggested
that overnight visitors bring homework, reading, and a flexible attitude for
the visit.
The overnight stay includes at least three meal tickets for you to enjoy meals in
the dining facility.
Due to limited space, we are unable to provide on-campus accommodations for family
members or friends accompanying prospective students. Family members or friends
who need a place to stay can take advantage of arrangements we have made with
several specially selected area hotels for UD visitors. Go to the hotels page for more information.
