Braniff Admission Policies

Applicants for admission to the Braniff Graduate School for the Fall semesters are reviewed by a "rolling admissions" procedure. All application dossiers that are completed as of February 15 are reviewed in late February for acceptance and financial aid. Any application which is not completed by February 15 will not be evaluated and will be held over for the next round. Decisions on admission and scholarship are made for the first round before the middle of March. If any places are left in the various programs, a second round of review begins March 15. The final round of review for the Institute of Philosophic Studies is April 15. Review for all Master's programs and Special Student status continues by monthly rounds until all places in a program are filled or until June 15. The only exception to this cycle is for the Master's programs in Art, which have a single round of review on February 15. Students who are denied admission or aid in an earlier round will not be reconsidered for admission. Students who are put on the waiting list will be reconsidered in subsequent rounds so long as places are available. Normally, no application for regular Fall admission will be accepted after June 15. For exceptions call the number below. Those applicants accepted for the Fall semester may begin language study in the preceding summer. The Institute of Philosophic Studies accepts applications for the Fall semester only. Applications for the Spring semester for all other programs except Art are due by November 15. Summer admission is for the M. A. Humanities program only.
