New Curriculum Beginning Spring 2008
Effective Spring 2008, the Graduate School of Management (GSM) at the University of Dallas (UD) introduced a new, mission-driven curriculum for its Dallas MBA program. The new curriculum will prepare graduates to thrive as ethically responsible leaders who can work, manage and lead in today’s increasingly complex, global economy.
The new curriculum builds on the school’s history of providing a practitioner-based business education that offers a rigorous set of industry-specific courses as well the relevant skills necessary for today’s competitive marketplace.
Under this latest enhancement, the MBA is a 41 credit hour program organized around three principle components: Value Creation Core (17 credits), Concentration Electives (15 credits), and Integrated Advanced Core (9 credits)
The Graduate School of Management requires that each student acquire the proper foundational business and management knowledge necessary to benefit most from the MBA curriculum. Students who have not completed the competencies comprising this foundational knowledge may be required to satisfy up to 12 additional credits in a satisfactory manner. These 12 additional credits may be satisfied based on prior academic coursework, enrollment in equivalent courses, and/or by successfully completing waiver or proficiency examinations.
Note: Beginning with the Spring 2008 term all admissions (applicants and matriculants) will be to the new MBA curriculum. If you previously took courses at the Graduate School of Management, you will return under the new curriculum.
