CISSP Bootcamp
Background for the UD IA Program
The University of Dallas (UD) enrolls approximately 3,000 students divided amongst an undergraduate body of 1,200 students, a liberal arts graduate program of 300 students, and the Graduate School of Management (GSM) with approximately 1,500 students. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges - SACS (the regional accrediting body for the southern U.S.). Through Graduate School of Management, the University has been designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS); and has successfully mapped to CNSS 4011- 4015, making UD one of only 7 U.S. universities authorized to award qualified students all U.S. Government CNSS educational credentials. Additionally, UD is today the only university to have so qualified through a graduate business program.
Today, Graduate School of Management has the largest graduate Information Assurance program in the nation with over 200 graduate students enrolled in MBA, MM, MS, and graduate certificate IA programs and courses. Graduate School of Management offers all of its core business courses and IA concentration courses via in-class and on-line formats, or any combination of the two formats. Through UD's Center for Information Assurance, UD offers and participates in many community and professional organization outreach programs, and research and publication activities.
UD is also a member of the U.S. Secret Service's North Texas Electronic Crimes Task Force, is a selected educational partner of the U.S. National Defense University located at Ft. McNair, Washington, D.C., and has been selected by ISC² to be its university educational partner in Texas.
