An exhibition of 2D works by sculptors from across the nation is on exhibition in the Haggerty Gallery. The artists' thought process to realize a finished sculpture is investigated in this exhibition of prints, collage, sketches and notes on a variety of surfaces. Ranging from large-scaled finished works to private sketchbooks this exhibition gives insight into the progression of an idea. Curated by Associate Professor of Sculpture Phillip Shore.

We have three student contestants this year. They are: Mr. Samuel Genoese, Mr. Tristan Whalen, and Mr. Nick Olson. A faculty panel will judge the event and announce a winner. This year's prompt is: Does the idea of a Core Curriculum, as espoused by the University of Dallas, allow for changes within it? Can new books, topics, or disciplines be incorporated into the Core Curriculum?
Meet Our Contestants:
Mr. Tristan Whalen is a senior Mathematics major from North Richland Hills, Texas.
Mr. Samuel Genoese is a sophomore Psychology major from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Nick Olson is a junior Economics and English double-major from Excelsior, Minnesota.
