Graduate School of Management Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate, you must apply for graduation! It not only notifies the Office of Student Records of your graduation plans but will also be used to order your diploma. All applications must be filed in the Office of Student Records by the date posted on the GSM calendar. Late applications will be assessed a late fee of $25 in addition to the $150 graduation fee. The Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Management (MM), or Master of Science (MS) degree is conferred when the following requirements are fulfilled:
1. A final overall graduate grade point average of at least 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 based on all courses taken at Graduate School of Management.
2. Completion of all courses in the student's official program with a passing grade (no grade below a C).
3. Completion of the Management Ethics and Professional Development Series BUAD 5199 or two of the LEAD seminars (for MBA and MS candidates). You may verify completion of lectures by contacting Kathy McGraw: kmcgraw@gsm.udallas.edu
4. Completion of a graduation application form and payment of the graduation fee within the first month of the final trimester.
5. All official documents have been submitted to the Office of Student Records.
6. Payment of all tuition and fees (library fines, parking tickets, outstanding financial obligations, etc).
7. Completion of the above requirements within a period of six years.* *Exceptions: Interruption by military service automatically extends the deadline. In extraordinary circumstances, a student may apply in writing to the Office of the Dean for an extension of the deadline.
