Caps and Gowns

Caps and gowns will be ordered based on the information you provide on your graduation application. You must list your height and weight so that the proper gown size may be ordered. Caps are one size fits all.

You may pick up your cap and gown in the Office of Student Records approximately one month prior to graduation or when notified via email of their arrival.

Caps and gowns are yours to keep after the commencement ceremony.

You may still order a cap and gown if you are not attending graduation.

Invitations and Announcements

Invitations and announcements are optional and may be ordered through the online vendor Herff Jones.

Honor Cords

The Graduate School of Management confers degrees at the end of each trimester. Honor cords are provided to graduates who achieve distinction as "Highest Honors" and "Honors". Gold cords are worn by graduates to signify distinguished academic achievement with "Highest Honors". Blue cords are worn by graduates to signify academic achievement with "Honors".

"Highest Honors" denotes graduates with a 4.0 grade point average. "Honors" denotes graduates with a 3.9 grade point average. Grades earned in transferred courses or in Intensive English courses are not used in computing the final grade point average but are included in the determination of any honors for graduation.

Class Rings

Class rings may be ordered at your discretion through the vendor of your choice or through the University of Dallas Bookstore 972.721.5320.
