Sister Martin Joseph was the founding librarian of the University of Dallas library. During her tenure, the library opened with about 6,000 volumes that had been donated to the new university. When she left in 1961, the library held more than 18,000 volumes and was the academic center on campus.
The library faculty and staff is grateful for her vision and dedication to the University of Dallas and the Blakley Library. Our condolences are extended to her family, and to all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
