Registration for the Annual Dinner is $75 per ticket and can be paid online when registering for the event. Payment and registration may also be mailed into our offices here at the School of Ministry.

Bishop Vann to Speak at Annual Dinner

On April 3, 2008, you are cordially invited to the annual School of Ministry Dinner, where this year’s keynote speaker will be the Most Rev. Kevin W. Vann, JCD, DD, the Bishop of the Diocese of Fort Worth. The dinner will be held at the Las Colinas Country Club, in Irving, Texas.

Our speaker, Bishop Vann, was ordained and installed as the third Bishop of the Diocese of Fort Worth on Wednesday, July 13, 2005. Ordained a priest in 1981, Bishop Vann spent most of the next 24 years ministering in the same city where he was born, raised, and educated: Springfield, Illinois. It was there that he worked with new immigrants, young families, and the Marriage Tribunal in the Diocese of Springfield. Bishop Vann earned the doctorate in canon law at Rome’s Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, and then worked in the Marriage Tribunal from 1984 to 1994, serving in different capacities as judge, defender of the bond, procurator advocate, and appellate judge.
