Worth...The Biblical School provides Catholics the opportunity to pursue a serious study of Sacred Scripture that is faithful to the Catholic understanding of the Word of God, and also enables the students to apply Scripture to their daily lives and ministries.... What is the School of Ministry Catholic Biblical School?The School of Ministry Catholic Biblical School is a four-year program of intensive study covering the entire Bible. It is Catholic in that it follows the directives of Scripture study as given in the Vatican II document, Dei Verbum (1965), and in more recent documents by the Pontifical Biblical Commission such as The Interpretation of the Bible in the Church (1993), and The Jewish People and Their Sacred Scriptures in the Christian Bible (2002). Introduction to the Bible Workshop.Presented by the Faculty of the School of Ministry Catholic Biblical School Catholic Biblical School in Shreveport, Louisiana.The School of Ministry in conjunction with the Diocese of Shreveport will offer the Catholic Biblical School 4 year program starting in the fall of 2009. Online Catholic Biblical SchoolThe School of Ministry Catholic Biblical School at the University of Dallas has expanded its four-year program to include internet-based distance education taught in both English and Spanish. Basic Biblical StudiesThe first two years focus on methods of study and praying with the Bible, and a comprehensive study of some major books of the Old and New Testaments in the following order: First Year:Exodus, Numbers, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Genesis, Joshua, Judges, 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings Second Year:Mark, Luke, Acts, Pauline Letters, John, Revelation Students completing the requirements of the first two years of the program will receive a Certificate of Basic Biblical Studies from the School of Ministry. Advanced Biblical StudiesThe remaining two years cover all other books of the Old and New Testaments. Students who successfully complete this phase will be awarded a Four-year Certificate of Biblical Studies from the School of Ministry. Third Year:Prophets, Psalms, Ezra, Nehemiah, Chronicles, Ruth, Song of Songs Fourth Year:Wisdom Literature, Deuterocanonicals, Matthew, Catholic and Pastoral Letters, Hebrews Catholic Biblical School Polo ShirtsThe University of Dallas School of Ministry is now selling Catholic Biblical School Polo Shirts. The polos are white with the Catholic Biblical School logo embroidered in blue on the top left hand side of the shirt. Each shirt will be sold at our offices for $20 a polo and if you would like to have us mail you the polo the cost would then be $25.
