The Catholic University for Independent Thinkers
To meet the diverse needs of our students, the Master's in Theological Studies program has two concentrations, biblical studies and secondary school teaching. Students can also choose to complete the MTS degree without a designated concentration, using their elective courses to study any theological or ministerial area of interest or to complete a broad range of courses.
This concentration combines foundational theology courses in the School of Ministry with an intellectually rigorous approach to scripture. The degree requires 37 credit hours of course work, at least 18 hours of which is scripture.
This is a collaborative program of the School of Ministry and the University of Dallas education department. Students who complete the degree fulfill teacher certification requirements for the Texas Catholic Conference (TCC) in secondary religious education.
