Howdy!

The campus is alive again with students and faculty!  Welcome to our first year parents; we enjoyed meeting you at New Student and Parent Orientation.  Parents of continuing students - welcome back!  We are looking forward to watching your students grow as they prepare themselves for life and work in a problematic and changing world and as they become leaders to act responsibly for their own good and for the good of their family, community, country and church.

Alumni Reunion and Family Weekend UD Alumni Reunion and Family Weekend is September 28-30.  We are excited to announce that Family Weekend will be shared by alumni as well.  This year, Student and Parent Services is teaming up with Alumni Relations to host a memorable weekend for all!   To register or for more information, please visit us here .
Counseling Center The UD Counseling Center is pleased to introduce Mary Armstrong, a licensed chemical dependency counselor.  Mary will be available along with Mike Brock for student counseling this year.  UD students now have a choice of counselors, both licensed professionals.  Mary, who has two sons in college, is an experienced counselor who is adding an additional license - Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) - to her repertoire of skills.  She will be completing her practicum and internship for her LPC at UD. Mike Brock, who will work with Mary in her practicum and internship, is a licensed professional counselor and counseling supervisor.   More information about the Counseling Center can be found here.
Career Services Week Career Service Week, September 10-14, will feature topics relevant to students immersed in a liberal education.  Students will have the chance to meet a wide range of professionals throughout the week.  For more information, please visit the Career Services webpage.
Student Success Week The Academic Success Office will be hosting Student Success Week on September 17-21.  The week is full of events that will help students make a successful transition to UD, provide academic and social support and teach various learning enhancement strategies.  More information can be found on the Academic Success Office website.
