As a result of sexual assault, one may experience a wide range of emotions, reactions,
and feelings. Everyone reacts differently to trauma due to sexual assault. Some of
the common reactions to sexual assault include: numbness, shock, embarrassment, shame,
guilt, depression, powerlessness, denial, fear, anxiety, and rage. If you or someone
you know has been sexually assaulted, please seek help.
