Student Government Executive Council

Mary Powers, President

Duties: To preside over the Executive Council and Senate, to act as the chief spokesperson of the student body to the University administration and faculty, and to be the chief coordinator of the day-to-day workings of Student Government.

Mary Powers, Vice President of the Senate

Duties: to compose an agenda for every Senate meeting, maintain contact with the various Student Government Liaisons, serve as the Chairperson of the Election Committee that oversees the election of the Senators and the Executive Council members, and serve as the Chairperson for the Charter and Appropriations Committee

Chelsea Davis, Vice President of Programming

Duties: to preside over the Programming Board and its committees, to act as chief spokesperson of the Programming Board to the University, and to be chief coordinator of the day-to-day affairs of the Programming Board.

Bio:

Kathleen Rhodes, Secretary

Duties: to keep accurate minutes of the Senate meetings. The Secretary is obligated to make these minutes available to all Student Government members and to any member of the student body upon request. The Secretary shall also keep all non-financial records of the Student Government. The Secretary shall organize and maintain the means of providing every new University of Dallas student an upperclassman mentor and be the chair of the Mentoring Committee.

Bio: I love immersing myself in the various aspects of the University of Dallas, and my Student Government involvement is the perfect link between my personal academic life and my understanding of the University's mission as whole. Through my participation in SG, I have come to better appreciate the many facets of the University of Dallas. With that, I intend to get others as excited about the school as I am, by working hard coordinating the new student Mentoring Program, and writing agendas and recording minutes for the weekly SG meetings. Naturally, I will also be caring perpetually for the SG office, and tying up loose ends in Student Government throughout the school year.:) Mostly, however, I'll be having a blast!

Jon Polce, Treasurer

Duties: to keep a continuous account of the financial record of Student Government, including itemized accounts for each section of the budget.
