Upon first arrival at the university, new F-1 students are encouraged to visit the new International Centre located in Anselm Hall - get a soda or other refreshments, meet the International Student Advisor, pick up information on Irving, DFW attractions, ethnic grocery stores, places of worship, etc.
For each of the programs at the university, the International Office schedules a separate regulatory/informational orientation for F-1 students who are new to the University of Dallas.
Attendance at your scheduled orientation is required.

- Surviving Culture Shock
- Understanding F-1 Regulations
- Utilizing your Health Insurance
- Getting Around in Irving - cars, buses, etc
For the academic terms beginning in January 2012, the schedule is as follows:
Graduate School of Management
Pre-MBA students - Monday, January 16; 9:30am - 12:00; Location To Be Determined
MBA and MS students - Locations to be determined
Wednesday, January 11, 10:00 - 3:00; Survive Culture Shock, Living in DFW, Student Basics, UD Information
Thursday, January 12; 9:30am to 12:00 pm; F-1 Regulations, F-1 Employment, Medical Insurance
Constantin College
Tentative Date: Monday, January 23, time and place to be determined.
Braniff Graduate School and School of Ministry
Tentative Date: Date, time and place to be determined.
Students are to bring their passports, I-94's (the small white card stamped at Port of Entry) and their I-20's.
Students should be prepared to provide their local address and the name and phone number of who should be contacted in case of an emergency.
