Prospective undergraduates are invited to sign up for a personalized visit on campus in person, or through our virtual offerings.

The University of Dallas offers several options to learn more about us. We have visits available for individual families every weekday and some weekends. We also offer limited options for high school students to attend as a group with their high school or church groups.

Register for an Open House Program

Odyssey Day

Saturday, October 26, 2024 and Saturday, November 16, 2024

High school seniors (or transfers) may attend one of our Odyssey Day programs in October and November. Odyssey Day gives prospective students the opportunity to experience life as a UD student: attend classes on Friday, take a student-led tour of campus, get answers about campus life during the student-only panel, and hear from admission counselors about the application process, scholarships and financial aid. Immerse yourself in UD’s campus and spiritual life.

High school juniors and their parents are invited to spend a day in the life of a UD student during our Crusader Preview. Visitors will be able to attend classes, tour campus, and hear from admission counselors about the application process, scholarships, financial aid and student life.

Admitted high school seniors and transfers are encouraged to Meet Us at the Tower, a phrase commonly used by UD students when meeting up with friends, to experience life as a UD student prior to the May 1 National Candidate Reply Deadline. During this event, you’ll hear about traditions and academics, experience campus and spiritual life, learn about various academic departments, sports and clubs, and interact with other high school seniors who are making the same decision as you.

Homeschool Open House

Friday, June 28, 2024

Homeschool high school students and their parents are invited to spend a day on the UD campus. Learn what entails a successful college application for homeschool students; sample college-level coursework by attending mock lectures; enjoy a lunch with fellow homeschooled students; familiarize yourself with campus on a tour, where you'll see classrooms, student hangouts and residence halls.

The Office of Undergraduate Admission offers group information sessions and tours for prospective students on weekdays in the mornings and afternoons, depending on availability. If you’re a counselor or high school or organization staff member interested in bringing a group of students to the UD campus, please fill out the form below.

  • You will have the opportunity to meet with a staff member to learn more about the university.
  • We also have a few options for tours.
    • First, we have ambassadors available for student-led tours of our campus at specific times. 
    • Second, if you are unable to be here for a scheduled tour time, we have a self-guided tour app that allows you to listen to different students and staff as you walk around campus.
  • UD’s Church of the Incarnation is open for public Masses at 12:05 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. (during the academic year) Monday through Friday. You are welcome to attend one of our Masses if you desire.
  • Our bookstore is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. They sell UD apparel, merchandise, snacks, books and more. Feel free to stop by during your visit and grab a souvenir!
  • Our Cappuccino Bar will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the weekdays.*  Feel free to stop by for an espresso over ice!
    *Summer hours vary from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
  • Our cafeteria is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Have a meal on campus or we can happily provide recommendations for area restaurants. *Summer hours vary from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Meeting with a professor is contingent upon their availability. We will do our best to help you connect with our faculty.
  • Classes are open to visitors with limited space. If you'd like to visit a class, let our campus visit coordinator know. Please note: prior approval is required from the professor and, as such, last minute requests typically cannot be accommodated.
Visitors are responsible for their own overnight accommodations.

Visitors are responsible for making airport transportation arrangements. The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system provides some options, or you can use a shuttle service such as SuperShuttle.
