COVID Case Report

As UD is informed of positive COVID-19 cases of students, employees, or contractors, this report will be updated within 24 hours to inform the university community and public health officials about the status of active COVID-19 cases. Testing numbers will be updated weekly.

UD has implemented a contact tracing protocol and hired a contact tracer who can locate and inform individuals on campus who have come into close contact with the individual who tested positive. Close contact is described by the Centers for Disease Control as being within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes (without direct respiratory droplet exposure).

In order to safeguard patient privacy, UD will not release the name of any individual, only basic details of the case, per Clery Act reporting requirements.

It is critically important that all students, employees, contractors and all campus visitors comply with our required protocols for personal health and safety and to ensure the fall semester continues as planned. Should the number of cases increase, the University’s COVID-19 response team is prepared to take any and all measures, from restricting campus movement to moving fully online.
