Submissions to the Gallery

Looking at art

Applications Deadlines:
Now accepting submissions for our 2021 and 2022 schedule.

The Beatrice M. Haggerty Gallery is an integral component of the University of Dallas Art Department and its exhibitions are designed to encourage a dialogue between the university community, as well as the broader community, by inviting an array of contemporary artists to our campus.

We welcome submissions and proposals from artists and independent curators year round. We typically hold two person exhibitions so we encourage artists to let us know if they have another artist in mind to exhibit with. National and international submissions are welcome however we encourage applicants to find other sources of funding to cover shipping costs. Exhibition proposals are reviewed by a committee of University of Dallas scholars and artists. Our exhibitions average 4 weeks in duration and generally follow a typical school year September through May.

* We accept submissions year round and applicaticants will remain eligible for later programming. While all artforms are welcomed we strongly encourage proposals with an emphasis in sculpture and installation at this time.

Words of Wisdom, Advice Bolster Educators Now Teaching from Afar

In our current condition, with most of the U.S. sheltering in place and/or learning and working from our homes, it's hard to imagine that just 20 days ago, teachers and those aspiring to be teachers gathered together for the fourth annual Excellence in Education conference at the University of Dallas, organized, run and sponsored by UD's Education Department, but so they did, and so we will all do -- gather together, that is -- some day again.
