Course Description

Study of micro and macroevolutionary processes that result in adaptive phenotypic change within and across populations. Darwin’s ideas on natural selection are discussed and followed by presentation of evidence for evolution, analysis of the effects of other evolutionary forces, phylogenetic analysis, population genetics and speciation. Prerequisite: Biology 1311, 1312.
