Marcie currently works in the Transformation Office of Alcon Laboratories in Fort Worth, supporting the Commercial and Quality Assurance organizations. Her responsibilities are implementing and enhancing continuous improvement that helps businesses achieve superior outcomes such as simplifying processes, improving quality, removing waste and reducing cost. She has over 20 years of experience as a process-oriented leader across manufacturing environments within the health care, automotive, industrial coating and medical device industries. She implements continuous process improvements, optimizing workflows and restructuring production operations that achieve million-dollar cost savings, optimal quality and yield. She has been hands on in leading large-scale projects, driving efficiencies, dissecting complex issues and creating well-sequenced processes by utilizing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies that affect the bottom line. She is known as an influential, pragmatic leader with exceptional communication skills and a recognized capability to lead, mentor and motivate cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence that helps businesses achieve superior outcomes. She is pursuing a doctoral degree to get a new perspective on the business world and build credibility among peers, potential employers and the business industry. Her ultimate goal is to teach at a college level, to pass along information and skills to the next generation of business leaders.
