Doctor of Business Administration

Designed to accommodate working professionals seeking to enhance their careers, the DBA program is a selective, three-year 60-credit-hour program taught by scholar-practitioners using a blended format which combines both online and face-to-face learning. Based on an applied research curriculum, it is designed for professionals with significant management experience, a history of proactive leadership and problem solving and an interest in understanding the evolution of the global economy’s impact on organizations.

Master of Business Administration with Concentration

Our 30-credit-hour MBA program can be completed part-time in as few as 4-5 semesters. Offered year-round in flexible 12-week, 6-week and intermester formats, courses can be taken both on-campus and online at our main campus located just minutes outside of downtown Dallas in Irving, Texas. With four additional courses, students can earn an MBA with the following concentrations: accounting, business analytics, cybersecurity, finance, information & technology management, and supply chain management.

Master of Science

Our Master of Science programs are designed for students who desire a graduate business education more specifically focused than the MBA. The Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business offers a variety of MS programs. While program requirements vary depending on the subject matter, most MS programs can be completed in as few as 30 credit hours or combined with an MBA in a 42 credit-hour program of study.

Master of Science degrees are offered in:

    • Accounting - Prepare for an accounting career through mastering topics that include financial statement analysis, auditing, ethics and taxation; qualify to sit for the CPA exam.
    • Business Analytics - Influence strategy, processes and decision-making by exploring relationships through data analysis. 
    • Cybersecurity - Pursue careers in areas such as threat analysis, cyber defense, network security, penetration testing and digital forensics. 
    • Cyber Intelligence - Combine principles of strategy, cryptography, penetration testing, and forensics with the most relevant statistical and programming techniques.
    • Finance - Gain the knowledge to help identify and measure financial risk, develop strategies to mitigate it, and assess a company's financial strategy and decisions. 
    • Financial Analytics - Apply business analytics skills, such as data visualization, predictive modeling and programming to make financially strategic decisions.
    • Information & Technology Management - Receive an intensive education in the technical and management skills needed to pursue leadership positions as an IT professional.

All graduate certificates are offered as 18 credit-hour programs and are ideal for those who have already earned a master’s degree or are seeking more specialized knowledge in their fields. Meet the Class of 2023: Incoming Drama Major Will Direct, Write

Aspiring drama (and perhaps also English) major Klemens Raab, BA '23, has been hanging around UD his whole life, since he only lives about a mile away from the university's Irving campus, and his parents (Klemens, BA '00 MA '06, and Gina (LeBaron), BA '99) are both alumni. He's already experienced the Rome campus, too, having participated in the summer High School Rome Program Shakespeare in Italy last year.

Capstone Professor Celebrates Half a Century

"I ended up at UD by accident," said Professor of Management Bruce Evans, who has taught at UD for 50 years now. Half a century ago, he and his brother were heading home to the East Coast from a camping trip and stopped by UD on a whim; Bob Lynch, dean of the newly formed Graduate School of Management (now the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business), hired Professor Bruce, as he is known by students, on the spot.
