Student Responsibilities:

  • You should familiarize yourself with the University of Dallas academic honesty and general policies.
  • Do not wait until the day homework is due to ask questions about concepts you have difficulty with. Note your professor's availability or virtual office hours, during which time you can expect a return of e-mail messages. Professors while available most of the time, are not available 24/7.
  • Be professional: Use proper grammar and English and re-read your messages before posting them to the course.
  • Include a clear subject line and insert your course number in the subject line of e-mails. This helps the professor keep track of your emails and often professors teach more than one class.
  • Avoid forwarding chain letters and other items that clog servers and potentially pass viruses.
  • Read your class syllabus carefully. It is your official guide to the course, and you should familiarize yourself with the class requirements. You should immediately contact your professor if you find anything in the syllabus that needs clarification.
