receipt of funds through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act for the Higher Education
Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). Additional disbursment information as related to CRRSAA:
Higher Education Emergency
Relief Fund (HEERF II) and the American Rescue Plan (HERFF III) is included below.
The other information included herein relates specifically to CARES/HEERF funds and
requirements.
The required acknowledgment that the institution signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement.
The CARES ACT was passed on March 27, 2020. The University of Dallas signed and submitted the application for Student Aid on April 29, 2020.
The University of Dallas accepts the offered funds, with the assurance that the institution has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

What method is used to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much they receive?
Students can complete this Google form to apply for federal grant aid as well as institutional COVID-19 Emergency Funds while logged into their udallas.edu email account.
- Need for technology upgrade to participate in remote learning (computer, wifi, web cam, microphone, headphones, data plans)
- Books or supplies needed to complete classes from home (text books, work books, art supplies, online tools)
- Off campus housing, utilities, and food costs due to student being unable to return to campus after Spring break (undergraduate on-campus and Rome students only).
- Transportation costs due to unanticipated campus closure (flights, bus, train, or gas expenses due to changing travel plans or the need to leave or come back to campus at unplanned times)
- Childcare costs due to a student paying for care while completing classes moved online
Students who are not eligible for federal CARES Act funding are automatically considered for UD COVID-19 Emergency Funds. The minimum grant amount is $300 and can be increased depending on the ways an eligible student has been affected. Pell Grant students were given priority for funds.
